Hotdog Fundraiser/Bake sale

So on saturday we had our first actual fundraiser for Uganda. I think we did very well! It was a beautiful day and we had a great time with family and friends. Thanks to all who came out and made it happen! Next saturday we will continue the fundraising with a smallgroup yardsale. We are having it in Wendell, close to Carla's house. Hopefully it will be another beautiful day, and we will have a good turn out.

Where the journey begins...

I have been on 2 medical mission trips in the past to Reynosa, Mexico. I never thought I'd have the opportunity to travel across the world to Africa. Three friends in my small group were discussing this trip, as they were talking about it I felt then that it was something that I'd want to be a part of. I attended an informational meeting at Journey about this trip and learned more, and became even more excited. We've started the process as a small group to try to raise money, since its $3,000 per person! I'm looking forward to this adventure and having faith that this need will be met.
